JERRY DUGGER

You're listening to 2400 Second Avenue
From The Dugger Brothers Latest CD

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in The Bronx and raised in Harlem. I caught the music bug early in life, listening to my parents Ida and Alfonza sing around the house, singing with them in church, and listening to their collection of 78rpm records. I always loved to listen to and sing to the radio, I guess that would be how I developed my voice, and eclectic musical tastes.

Through an amazing set of circumstances, I found myself being introduced to the New York City Blues scene by way of the now infamous Dan Lynch Blues Bar. I spent thirteen years studying The Blues there and eventually hosting the Saturday and Sunday afternoon jam sessions. This little bar became the hub of the Blues scene in NYC. Many legendary Blues musicians stopped by to say hello and sing a song on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, it is an education in performance and that could not be duplicated. I've also spent a great amount of time touring Europe as Bassist and Background Singer for The Andy J. Forest Blues Band. My most recent trip to Europe was as an invited guest of the Ferrara Buskers Festival, with good friend Chris Blanden.

These days my work is focused in New York City and the Tri State area, I work regularly at Terra Blues, and The Red Lion, both on legendary Bleecker Street. My Bands, The Dugger Brothers, and The Harlem Blues Project keep me focused on original compositions, The Blues, Soul and Country Music.
I've also been performing solo acoustic guitar shows at Banjo Jims on 9th and avenue C. My mission is to write and sing great songs, because a great song can touch you the way nothing else can.

Thanks for stopping by.

The Dugger Brothers

Listen to Slow Time, From our latest CD!

The Dugger Brothers are a powerful musical force of nature. They're not interested in wearing shiny suits, they're a working mans band. they play like their lives depend on it, they sweat. You can find them Sunday nights at The Red Lion NYC, a unique music venue in the heart of the West Village.
The Dugger Brothers debut recording is a showcase of their diverse musical interests. Southern Soul is heavily represented here, along with original love songs and autobiiographical Jazz.
Jerry has released two albums previously, October's Son and Guardian Angel, heavily blues influenced, embracing the styles of  Willie Dixon and Keb' Mo'. He has toured the European festival circuit extensively as bassist and singer with the
New Orleans based, Andy J. Forest Band.

I can't say enough about this group of musicians.
It's my privilege to share the stage with them.

The Harlem Blues Project

SaRon Crenshaw
SaRon Crenshaw learned to play guitar at the age of ten. He is an extremely talented guitarist who travels the country playing Jazz and Rhythm and Blues. In the 70's and 80's he made his living playing bass for several bands in New Jersey, New York and South Carolina. He has shared stages with talented recording artists such as Lee fields, Roy Roberts, Denise lasalle, Bobby Rush, Jessie James, Tyrone Davis, and Chuck Roberson. Saron's love is The Blues and he has been inspired by some of the greatest singers and players of all time, B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Buddy Guy to name a few. SaRon plays a Gibson “Lucille” model guitar signed by B.B.King himself. He is a powerful entertainer and is never afraid to take his performance straight into the audience.

JUNIOR MACK
Junior Mack is a New Jersey native, self taught, he has been playing guitar since the age of nine. Influenced by Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Jan Akkerman, and Wes Montgomery, he deftly displays these influences, although the foundation of his playing lies in the soulfulness of Gospel and Blues.
Vocally, his influences are all Gospel, The Soul Stirrers, with Sam Cooke, and Paul Foster, The Sensational Nightingales, with Reverend Julius Cheeks initially provided the vehicle for Juniors delivery. Later on he discovered Greg Allman and now they are all wrapped up into Junior Mack.
BARRY HARRISON

Barry Harrison, the drummer, is a Brooklyn native. Barry’s father Donald Harrison started teaching Barry during his junior year of high school. Soon Barry was subbing for his father. Barry shortly became a sought after drummer on the New York City scene, landing the drummers seat in the legendary Johnny “Clyde” Copeland Blues Band. Barry spent five and a half years with Johnny Copeland, and after his passing went on to spend six years working with his daughter, Shemekia Copeland. Barry has also worked with Sonny Rhodes, Eddie Kirkland, Phil Guy, and Lonnie Shields
